Bona Fide Social Relationship
Connecticut Gambling Law, Sec. 53-278b. Gambling; professional gambling; penalties. (a) Any person who engages in gambling, or solicits or induces another to engage in gambling, or is present when another person or persons are engaged in gambling, shall be guilty of a class B misdemeanor; provided natural persons shall be exempt from prosecution and punishment under this subsection for any game, wager or transaction which is incidental to a bona fide social relationship, is participated in by natural persons only and in which no person is participating, directly or indirectly, in professional gambling.
So there Mr. Police Academy flunky... neener, neener.

I here you can be jailed in CT for gambling in a casino sponsored building.......

That's interesting. I just heard something on the local radio here in Boston that warrants are being issued for 7 people for alledgedly running a gambling ring in CT. Apparently they were at a facility in Hartford and were busted for gambling and drug trafficking.

It is kind of ironic that, umm, these "people" got in trubble (at least that's what I heard) for playing a "fun" game of poker in a facility who has the Mohegan Sun Casino and Resort as a sponsor.
